• Elasticity: The ability of an object or material to resume its normal shape after being stretched or compressed; stretchiness. Improved elasticity leads to faster spring back.

• Elongation: The amount of extension of an object before breaking, usually expressed as a percentage of the original length.

• Tear strength: The ability of a material to resist the growth of cuts under tension. Low tear strength leads Flexible v2 parts to rip or crumble with use. While durometer and elongation may be equivalent to a rubber or silicone, the tear strength of our printed resins has been unlike those of traditional materials.

• Energy return aka spring back: How quickly a bent geometry returns to its original shape. Like tear strength, while durometer and elongation may be close to a rubber or a silicone, our resins tend to take longer to return to their original shape than traditional materials.

• Tensile strength: The capacity of a material or structure to withstand loads tending to elongate, as opposed to compressive strength, which withstands loads tending to reduce size.

• Damping: Absorption of energy dissipated as a viscous force, impact protection, deadening. Dropping a high damping material is akin to dropping a bouncy ball that doesn’t bounce.
